Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 149

एतद्वै जप्यमानस्तु पुनरावर्तते न तु । सर्वरोगविनिर्मुक्तो मुच्यते ब्रह्महत्यया

etadvai japyamānastu punarāvartate na tu | sarvarogavinirmukto mucyate brahmahatyayā

En vérité, celui qui le répète sans cesse en japa ne revient plus (à la renaissance). Délivré de toutes les maladies, il est absous même du péché de brahma-hatyā, le meurtre d’un brāhmaṇa.
