एवं तैः पृथिवी व्याप्ता पञ्चाशत्कोटि विस्तरा । एवं ज्ञात्वा तदा देवा भयेनोद्विग्नमानसाः

evaṃ taiḥ pṛthivī vyāptā pañcāśatkoṭi vistarā | evaṃ jñātvā tadā devā bhayenodvignamānasāḥ

Ainsi la terre — s’étendant sur cinquante koṭis — fut submergée par eux. L’ayant su, les dieux, saisis de crainte, en eurent le cœur troublé.
