En ce monde, celui dont la demeure conserve ce (māhātmya) écrit et le répand obtient directement le mérite de Dvārakā—un mérite né de Kṛṣṇa et accordé par Kṛṣṇa.
Mārkaṇḍeya (deduced from section flow)
Tirtha: Dvārakā
Type: kshetra
Listener: Indradyumna
Scene: A devotee’s home where the Dvārakā-māhātmya is carefully written and displayed; a small shrine to Kṛṣṇa, lamp lit, visitors reading and copying the text.
Preserving, writing, and sharing sacred māhātmyas is itself a dharmic act that makes tīrtha-merit accessible even beyond physical travel.
Dvārakā, whose merit is said to be manifest through Kṛṣṇa.
Keeping the māhātmya written in one’s home and disseminating it (propagation of the sacred text).
