ततःप्रभृति लिंगस्य मर्त्त्ये पूजा व्यजायत । पुरासीच्छंकरः पूज्यो यथान्ये त्रिदशालयाः
tataḥprabhṛti liṃgasya marttye pūjā vyajāyata | purāsīcchaṃkaraḥ pūjyo yathānye tridaśālayāḥ
Dès lors, parmi les mortels naquit le culte du liṅga. Jadis, Śaṅkara n’était vénéré que comme les autres dieux, dans leurs demeures célestes.
