Transliteration

vratavyājena deveśo viveśa tadanantaram | cintayāmāsa tatrastho gaṃgāṃ trailokyapāvinīm

Translation

Alors le Seigneur des dieux, sous le prétexte d’accomplir un vœu (vrata), entra dans l’eau. Demeurant là, il se mit à contempler Gaṅgā, la purificatrice des trois mondes.
