शुकेनावेदितो वह्निः शप्त्वा तं मन्युना वृतः । गद्गदा भावि ते वाणी प्रोक्त्वेदं प्रस्थितो द्रुतम्
śukenāvedito vahniḥ śaptvā taṃ manyunā vṛtaḥ | gadgadā bhāvi te vāṇī proktvedaṃ prasthito drutam
Lorsque Śuka désigna Vahni (Agni), Agni, saisi de courroux, le maudit en disant : «Ta parole deviendra bégayante.» Après ces mots, il s’éloigna promptement.
