समादाय पितॄंस्तर्प्य यावदग्नौ जुहोति सः । तावद्वह्निः परित्यज्य समस्तमपि भूतलम्
samādāya pitṝṃstarpya yāvadagnau juhoti saḥ | tāvadvahniḥ parityajya samastamapi bhūtalam
L’ayant pris, il rassasia les Pitṛs par le tarpaṇa et se mit à verser des oblations dans le feu ; mais tant qu’il accomplissait ces offrandes, le feu, quittant sa place, se répandit sur toute la terre.
