Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 6

तथा वेदविदो विप्रा यज्ञकर्मविचक्षणाः । गृहस्थाश्रमिणो ये च ये चारण्यनिवासिनः

tathā vedavido viprā yajñakarmavicakṣaṇāḥ | gṛhasthāśramiṇo ye ca ye cāraṇyanivāsinaḥ

De même furent conviés les brāhmaṇa connaisseurs des Veda, experts dans les actes du sacrifice, tant ceux qui suivaient la voie du maître de maison que ceux qui demeuraient en forêt.
