yājñavalkya uvāca | eteṣāṃ bhāskarāṇāṃ ca madīyānāṃ puro dvijāḥ | kīrtayiṣyaṃti ye viprāsteṣāṃ yuṣmatprasādataḥ | bhūyā svargagatirviprā eṣā me guru dakṣiṇā
Type: temple
Scene: Yājñavalkya declares his dakṣiṇā: a blessing over future brāhmaṇas who will recite the glory of the Bhāskara shrines; visual includes multiple sun-icons/shrines aligned, with an assembly listening.
The highest ‘fee’ is not wealth but welfare: the guru asks that future reciters gain merit and higher destiny through sacred praise.
The consecrated Sūrya/Bhāskara installations within this Nāgarakhaṇḍa tīrtha narrative are the focus; the verse highlights their kīrtana rather than naming a single place.
Kīrtana (recounting/praising) of the Bhāskara installations is prescribed as a merit-giving act.
