याज्ञवल्क्य उवाच । एतेषां भास्कराणां च मदीयानां पुरो द्विजाः । कीर्तयिष्यंति ये विप्रास्तेषां युष्मत्प्रसादतः । भूया स्वर्गगतिर्विप्रा एषा मे गुरु दक्षिणा
yājñavalkya uvāca | eteṣāṃ bhāskarāṇāṃ ca madīyānāṃ puro dvijāḥ | kīrtayiṣyaṃti ye viprāsteṣāṃ yuṣmatprasādataḥ | bhūyā svargagatirviprā eṣā me guru dakṣiṇā
Yājñavalkya dit : « Ô deux‑fois‑nés, par votre faveur, que les brāhmaṇas qui, en votre présence, proclameront la gloire de ces Bhāskara que j’ai établis, obtiennent une marche vers le ciel toujours plus élevée. Telle est la guru-dakṣiṇā que je demande ».
