। ऋषय ऊचुः । चतुर्युगस्वरूपं तु माहात्म्यं चैव सूतज । प्रमाणं वद कार्त्स्न्येन परं कौतूहलं हि नः

Transliteration

| ṛṣaya ūcuḥ | caturyugasvarūpaṃ tu māhātmyaṃ caiva sūtaja | pramāṇaṃ vada kārtsnyena paraṃ kautūhalaṃ hi naḥ

Translation

Les sages dirent : Ô fils de Sūta, expose pleinement la juste mesure et le récit complet des quatre yuga et de leur grandeur ; car notre curiosité est profonde.
