Transliteration

tāvadbhramaṃti saṃsāre pitaraḥ piṃḍatatparāḥ | yāvatkule bhaktiyutaḥ sto naiva prajāyate

Translation

Aussi longtemps que les ancêtres errent dans le saṃsāra, uniquement tournés vers les offrandes de piṇḍa, ainsi en est-il tant qu’en cette lignée ne naît pas un dévot doté de bhakti.
