चिन्तयामासुरव्यग्रं हृदयस्थं महे श्वरम् । ततो देवा महेंद्राद्याः संप्राप्यामरकण्टकम्
cintayāmāsuravyagraṃ hṛdayasthaṃ mahe śvaram | tato devā maheṃdrādyāḥ saṃprāpyāmarakaṇṭakam
D’un esprit sans distraction, ils méditèrent sur Maheśvara demeurant dans le cœur. Alors les dieux, à commencer par le grand Indra, arrivèrent à Amarakantaka.

Scene: The meditating brāhmaṇas radiate calm as a luminous procession of devas descends—Indra at the forefront—arriving at Amarakantaka; the air brightens, clouds part, and the riverbank becomes a celestial assembly ground.
Śiva is to be realized inwardly (in the heart) even as sacred places draw divine presence and divine assemblies.
