Type: kshetra
Scene: A vast fallen liṅga stretching across the landscape; thousands of sages arriving in distress, their matted hair and deer-skins fluttering, dust rising from their steps.
When a sacred manifestation of Śiva appears, the wise respond with urgency and reverence, not indifference.
The verse sets the scene for a Nāgarakhaṇḍa tīrtha connected to a fallen/manifest liṅga, developed further in the following verses (linked with Narmadā and Amarakantaka).
None directly here; it describes the sages’ gathering as a response to the liṅga’s manifestation.
