Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 41
यथा विष्णुः कृमिर्ज्ञेयस्ताभ्यामेव द्विजोत्तमाः । सदाशिवस्य विज्ञेयौ तथा तौ कृमिरूपकौ
yathā viṣṇuḥ kṛmirjñeyastābhyāmeva dvijottamāḥ | sadāśivasya vijñeyau tathā tau kṛmirūpakau
Ainsi, ô meilleur des deux-fois-nés, même Viṣṇu doit être connu comme n’étant qu’un ver au regard de ces deux (Śiva et Śakti). Et ces deux-là, à leur tour, doivent être compris, au regard de Sadāśiva, comme ayant une forme de ver, c’est-à-dire infiniment moindres.
