एवं ज्ञात्वा सुरश्रेष्ठ कुरु यत्ते सुरोचते । अतिक्रामति कालोऽयं यज्ञयानसमुद्रवः । तिष्ठते च गृहव्यग्रा सापि स्त्री शिथिलात्मिका
evaṃ jñātvā suraśreṣṭha kuru yatte surocate | atikrāmati kālo'yaṃ yajñayānasamudravaḥ | tiṣṭhate ca gṛhavyagrā sāpi strī śithilātmikā
«Sachant cela, ô le meilleur des dieux, fais ce que tu juges convenable. Le temps s’écoule, et les apprêts du char sacrificiel sont en tumulte. Et elle demeure, affairée aux tâches du foyer ; cette femme a l’âme peu ferme.»
