Transliteration

yataḥ prabhṛti viprebhyo dattaṃ tena mahātmanā | camatkāreṇa tatsthānaṃ nāmnā khyātiṃ tato gatam

Dès lors, parce que ce grand d’âme l’offrit aux brāhmaṇas, le lieu —par un prodige— devint célèbre sous ce même nom.
