puṣpa uvāca | yadi tuṣṭo'si me deva yadi deyo varo mama | taddehi yācamānasya mama yaddhṛdi saṃsthitam
Type: kshetra
Scene: Puṣpa, hands folded, speaks with earnestness, asking the deity to grant the heart-held wish; the deity listens in composed majesty.
A devotee’s inner saṅkalpa matters—boons are sought not for display but for the heartfelt purpose aligned with dharma.
The request occurs within the Sarasvatī-tīra episode of the Nāgara Khaṇḍa’s Tīrthamāhātmya.
Boon-seeking is framed as the culmination of worship; the verse emphasizes sincere petition (yācñā) rooted in saṅkalpa.
