षंढ उवाच । न वृत्तिर्गर्हिता तेन नाहं व्यंतरपीडितः । मणिभद्रो न चैष स्यादेष वेषकरः पुमान्
ṣaṃḍha uvāca | na vṛttirgarhitā tena nāhaṃ vyaṃtarapīḍitaḥ | maṇibhadro na caiṣa syādeṣa veṣakaraḥ pumān
Ṣaṇḍha dit : « Ce gagne-pain n’a rien de blâmable, et je ne suis tourmenté par aucun esprit. Et cet homme n’est pas Maṇibhadra : ce n’est qu’un imposteur, un homme qui se travestit. »
