Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 96

उपदेशैश्च बहुभिर्नोपदेश्याः कदाचन । ते रागद्वेषसंघाताः सर्वे शिवपराङ्मुखाः

upadeśaiśca bahubhirnopadeśyāḥ kadācana | te rāgadveṣasaṃghātāḥ sarve śivaparāṅmukhāḥ

Même par de nombreux enseignements, on ne pouvait les instruire en rien; car ils n’étaient qu’un amas d’attachement et d’aversion, tous détournés de Śiva.
