Nārada to the Devas (in-scene speaker)
Listener: Ṛṣis/assembly (frame)
Scene: Nārada halts the devas mid-churning, raising a hand in warning; behind them the ocean roils with poison; a faint visionary tableau of Dakṣa-yajña and Vīrabhadra’s fierce act appears as remembered cause.
When actions produce poison, pause and seek Śiva—the transcendent protector—rather than pushing forward through ego and haste.
Kedārakhaṇḍa’s Shaiva framework underlies the counsel, but no single tīrtha is named in this verse.
Prayer and remembrance of Śiva are prescribed—turning the mind to Śiva as the immediate remedial act.
