शिवस्याथाग्रतो भूत्वा ऊचुः सर्वे त्वरान्विताः । किं कृतं हि त्वया शंभो विरक्तेन महात्मना । परदारापहर्त्तासि त्वमृषीणां न संशयः
śivasyāthāgrato bhūtvā ūcuḥ sarve tvarānvitāḥ | kiṃ kṛtaṃ hi tvayā śaṃbho viraktena mahātmanā | paradārāpaharttāsi tvamṛṣīṇāṃ na saṃśayaḥ
Se tenant devant Śiva, tous parlèrent avec hâte : «Ô Śambhu, âme magnanime et détachée, qu’as-tu donc fait ? Tu es le ravisseur des épouses d’autrui, même de celles des ṛṣi ; il n’y a point de doute !»
