भिक्षाटनार्थं सुश्रोणि संकल्परहितः सदा । तया सत्या विना किंचित्स्त्रीमात्रं मम भामिनि । न रोचते विशालाक्षि सत्यं प्रतिवदामि ते
bhikṣāṭanārthaṃ suśroṇi saṃkalparahitaḥ sadā | tayā satyā vinā kiṃcitstrīmātraṃ mama bhāmini | na rocate viśālākṣi satyaṃ prativadāmi te
«Pour l’errance de la quête d’aumônes, ô toi aux belles hanches, je demeure toujours sans dessein mondain. Sans cette Satī, ô femme ardente, nulle femme, pour elle seule, ne me plaît. Ô toi aux grands yeux, je te dis la vérité.»
