En contemplant Śambhu au matin, les fautes de la nuit s’effacent. En contemplant Śambhu à midi, les péchés accumulés par les hommes durant sept naissances sont détruits. Quant au mérite de la nuit, il est au-delà de toute mesure.
Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) to the sages (deduced)
Tirtha: Kedāra (Śambhu-darśana)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Three moments at the shrine: dawn light on the liṅga, blazing noon with pilgrims in line, and night-time lamp-lit sanctum with a vigil—each labeled with its sin-destroying fruit.
Darśana of Śiva at sacred times is a powerful purifier, erasing sins from recent and even multiple lifetimes.
Kedāra-kṣetra is implied as the setting where Śambhu’s darśana yields extraordinary merit.
Seek Śambhu’s darśana especially in the morning and at midday; night-time devotion is praised as incalculably meritorious.
