तथेति मत्वा सहसा प्रणम्य हिमालयं वाक्यमिदं बभाषे । प्रयच्छ तां चाद्य गिरीशवर्य ह्यार्ताय कन्यां सुभगां महामते

tatheti matvā sahasā praṇamya himālayaṃ vākyamidaṃ babhāṣe | prayaccha tāṃ cādya girīśavarya hyārtāya kanyāṃ subhagāṃ mahāmate

Pensant : «Qu’il en soit ainsi», il se prosterna aussitôt devant Himālaya et dit : «Ô le meilleur des seigneurs des montagnes, ô grand d’âme, accorde-moi aujourd’hui cette jeune fille de bon augure, car je demeure dans le désir ardent.»
