तदाम्बिकाह स्वपतिं महेशं मया जितोऽस्यद्य न विस्मयोऽत्र । एवमुक्त्वा तदा शंभुं करे गृह्य वरानना । जितोऽसि त्वं न संदेहस्त्वं न जानासि शंकर
tadāmbikāha svapatiṃ maheśaṃ mayā jito'syadya na vismayo'tra | evamuktvā tadā śaṃbhuṃ kare gṛhya varānanā | jito'si tvaṃ na saṃdehastvaṃ na jānāsi śaṃkara
Alors Ambikā dit à son époux, Maheśa : «Aujourd’hui je t’ai vaincu — il n’y a là rien d’étonnant.» Ayant parlé ainsi, la Déesse au beau visage prit Śambhu par la main et dit : «Tu es vaincu — sans aucun doute. Ô Śaṅkara, tu ne comprends pas.»
