अज्ञानेनापि भो विप्राः पुष्कसेन दुरात्मना । माघमासेऽसिते पक्षे चतुर्दश्यां विधूदये
ajñānenāpi bho viprāḥ puṣkasena durātmanā | māghamāse'site pakṣe caturdaśyāṃ vidhūdaye
Ô brāhmanes, même à son insu—par le méchant Puṣkasena—cela advint au mois de Māgha, durant la quinzaine sombre, le quatorzième jour lunaire, tandis que la lune se levait.
