त्रैगुणा भवसंपन्ना अतत्तवज्ञाश्च रागिणः । कामक्रोधभयद्वेषमदमात्सर्यसंयुताः

traiguṇā bhavasaṃpannā atattavajñāśca rāgiṇaḥ | kāmakrodhabhayadveṣamadamātsaryasaṃyutāḥ

Liés par les trois guṇas et seulement aptes au devenir mondain, ils ne connaissent pas le Réel; ils sont passionnés, remplis de désir, de colère, de peur, de haine, d’orgueil et d’envie.
