Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 14

सर्वे देवाश्च संभूता यतो देवस्य शूलिनः । सोऽसौ वेदांतगो देवस्त्वया ज्ञातुं न पार्यते

sarve devāśca saṃbhūtā yato devasya śūlinaḥ | so'sau vedāṃtago devastvayā jñātuṃ na pāryate

De ce Dieu—Śūlin, le Porteur du Trident—sont nés, en vérité, tous les dieux. Cette même Divinité, établie dans le sens du Vedānta, ne peut être pleinement connue par toi (par simple orgueil ou regard borné).
