किमर्थमागता यूयं ब्रूतागमनकारणम् । तदोचुः सप्त ऋषयो महेशप्रेरिता वयम्
kimarthamāgatā yūyaṃ brūtāgamanakāraṇam | tadocuḥ sapta ṛṣayo maheśapreritā vayam
«Dans quel but êtes-vous venus ? Dites la raison de votre venue.» Alors les sept sages répondirent : «Nous avons été envoyés par Maheśa (Śiva).»
