सूत उवाच । गतं तदा शिवं दृष्ट्वा दग्ध्वा मदनमोजसा । पार्वती तपसा युक्ता स्थिता तत्रैव भामिनी

sūta uvāca | gataṃ tadā śivaṃ dṛṣṭvā dagdhvā madanamojasā | pārvatī tapasā yuktā sthitā tatraiva bhāminī

Sūta dit : «Alors, voyant Śiva s’en aller—après qu’il eut consumé Madana par la puissance de son feu—Pārvatī, riche d’austérités, demeura là même, ferme et inébranlable».
