Virocana
Tirtha: Kedāra
Type: kshetra
Scene: The asura prince offers the ultimate gifts—his head, kingdom, and unshifting fortune—to a brāhmaṇa petitioner, speaking with unwavering certainty.
The highest charity is self-surrender offered without hesitation—where ego and possession are both relinquished.
No specific tīrtha is named; the verse is an exemplary dharma narrative within Kedārakhaṇḍa.
No formal ritual; it presents the ideal of dāna carried to its extreme—offering even one’s own body and sovereignty.
