ददाम्यात्मशिरो विप्र यदि कामयसेऽधुना । इदं राज्यमनायासमियं श्रीर्नान्यगामिनी । अहं समर्पयिष्यामि तव नास्त्यत्र सशयः
dadāmyātmaśiro vipra yadi kāmayase'dhunā | idaṃ rājyamanāyāsamiyaṃ śrīrnānyagāminī | ahaṃ samarpayiṣyāmi tava nāstyatra saśayaḥ
«Ô brāhmaṇa, si tu le désires à l’instant, je te donnerai ma propre tête. Ce royaume acquis sans peine, et cette fortune qui ne s’en va vers nul autre, je te les remettrai. Là-dessus, point de doute.»
