Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) to the sages (deduced from Māheśvarakhaṇḍa context)
Scene: A lone ascetic or pilgrim worships a small fixed liṅga in a forest hermitage at dusk; nearby are kuśa grass, a water pot, bilva leaves, and a simple lamp; alternatively, a small group in a village edge shrine mirrors the ‘jane/vijane’ contrast.
True worship depends on bhakti, not location; pradoṣa intensifies the merit of liṅga-arcana everywhere.
The verse praises the broader Kedāra ascetic geography—forests and tapovanas associated with Śaiva pilgrimage.
Worship the liṅga with devotion in any setting, with special emphasis on pradoṣa time.
