Transliteration

nyāyopārjitavittena daśamāṃśena dhīmatā | kartavyo viniyogaśca īśaprītyarthahetave

Translation

Avec une richesse acquise par des moyens justes, le sage doit mettre à part la dixième part et l’affecter comme il convient, afin de plaire au Seigneur (Īśa) : telle est la fin et la raison même de ce don.
