Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 33

चित्तवृत्तिनिरोधेन वैराग्याभ्यासयोगतः । जपन्नुद्गीतमस्यार्थं भावयन्नष्टमं रसम्

cittavṛttinirodhena vairāgyābhyāsayogataḥ | japannudgītamasyārthaṃ bhāvayannaṣṭamaṃ rasam

En maîtrisant les fluctuations du mental, par le yoga du détachement et de la pratique assidue, je chantai l’udgīta sacré, en méditant son sens et en cultivant le « huitième rasa », la saveur spirituelle transcendante.
