स च मां सदृशं ज्ञात्वा शीलेन च कुलेन च । अतीव चार्थिनं मह्यं ददौ वाचा पुरः क्रमात्

sa ca māṃ sadṛśaṃ jñātvā śīlena ca kulena ca | atīva cārthinaṃ mahyaṃ dadau vācā puraḥ kramāt

Me reconnaissant comme un époux convenable — par la conduite et par la lignée — et voyant l’ardeur de ma demande, il me l’accorda par sa parole, selon l’ordre et le rite convenables.
