शीलचारित्रगोत्रस्य धारणार्थं कुलस्य च । सोऽहमात्मा स्वयं पित्रा पुत्रत्वे परिकल्पितः

śīlacāritragotrasya dhāraṇārthaṃ kulasya ca | so'hamātmā svayaṃ pitrā putratve parikalpitaḥ

Pour préserver la bonne conduite, le caractère et la lignée—et pour assurer la continuité de la famille—«ce même Soi» est, par le père lui-même, établi dans l’état de fils.
