पापं पुनासि वै यस्मात्तस्मात्पावक उच्यसे । त्वं मुखं सर्वदेवानां त्वं मुखं ब्रह्मवादिनाम्

Transliteration

pāpaṃ punāsi vai yasmāttasmātpāvaka ucyase | tvaṃ mukhaṃ sarvadevānāṃ tvaṃ mukhaṃ brahmavādinām

Translation

Parce que tu purifies véritablement le péché, on te nomme donc « Pāvaka » (le Purificateur). Tu es la bouche de tous les dieux, et tu es la bouche de ceux qui proclament Brahman, les sages védiques.
