यद्दुःखं जायते तस्य तद्गर्भेऽष्टगुणं भवेत् । इत्येतद्गर्भदुःखं हि प्राणिनां परिकीर्तितम्

Transliteration

yadduḥkhaṃ jāyate tasya tadgarbhe'ṣṭaguṇaṃ bhavet | ityetadgarbhaduḥkhaṃ hi prāṇināṃ parikīrtitam

Translation

Toute souffrance qui naît pour un être, cette même souffrance, dans le sein, devient huit fois plus grande. Ainsi est proclamée la « souffrance du sein » des créatures vivantes.
