इति जपः गोमेदनामा प्लक्षोस्ति सुरम्यो यस्य च्छायया । मोदोवृद्धिं गतं लौल्याद्गोमेदं द्वीपमुच्यते
iti japaḥ gomedanāmā plakṣosti suramyo yasya cchāyayā | modovṛddhiṃ gataṃ laulyādgomedaṃ dvīpamucyate
«Ainsi est le japa (la récitation).» Il est un plaisant arbre plakṣa nommé Gomeda ; sous son ombre, la joie s’accroît par un tendre ravissement—c’est pourquoi cette île est appelée Gomeda-dvīpa.
