कृत्वैतन्नश्यते कीर्तिर्यावदाचंद्रतारकम् । एवं संचिंत्य बहुधा गत्वा चैव वनांतरम्
kṛtvaitannaśyate kīrtiryāvadācaṃdratārakam | evaṃ saṃciṃtya bahudhā gatvā caiva vanāṃtaram
«Si je fais cela, ma bonne renommée—faite pour durer tant que la lune et les étoiles—sera détruite.» Ainsi méditant maintes fois, il s’enfonça au cœur de la forêt.
