मातरं मां परित्यज्य यस्मात्त्वं स्नेहविह्वलाम् । विहितावसरः स्त्रीणां शंकरस्य रहोविधौ

mātaraṃ māṃ parityajya yasmāttvaṃ snehavihvalām | vihitāvasaraḥ strīṇāṃ śaṃkarasya rahovidhau

«Puisque tu m’as abandonnée—moi, ta mère—alors que je tremblais d’affection, et puisque tu t’es introduit à contretemps dans le rite secret de Śaṅkara, qui doit être observé avec la juste bienséance,»
