Devī (Pārvatī/Girijā)
Listener: Śrī Śaṅkara (implied addressee)
Scene: Devī points out a gaṇa whose face is smeared with red manaḥśilā paste; he shines with sun-like brilliance and bears a form reminiscent of Śiva, within a celestial assembly.
The divine attendants reflect their Lord’s splendor; proximity to Śiva is shown as a transformative, radiance-giving association.
No holy site is mentioned in this verse; it is part of the narrative praise of Śiva’s entourage.
None; the verse is an observational question within a dialogue.
