Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) narrating to the sages
Listener: Phālguna (Arjuna)
Scene: A single, thunder-like ‘huṃ’ emanates; daityas turn back as if spellbound, their faces blank with sudden forgetfulness, retreating toward their city gates.
The Lord’s śakti can dissolve hostile intent instantly; when adharma confronts divinity, even memory and resolve can be stripped away.
No tīrtha is indicated; the verse is narrative and doctrinal about divine power.
None; the emphasis is on the spontaneous efficacy of divine sound.
