गरुडं जगृहुः केचित्पादयोः शतशोऽसुराः । ललंबिरे च पक्षाभ्यां मुखे चान्ये ललंबिरे

garuḍaṃ jagṛhuḥ kecitpādayoḥ śataśo'surāḥ | lalaṃbire ca pakṣābhyāṃ mukhe cānye lalaṃbire

Certains asuras—par centaines—saisirent Garuḍa par les pieds. D’autres se suspendirent à ses deux ailes, et d’autres encore s’agrippèrent, pendus, à son bec.
