अनर्हते यद्ददाति न ददाति तथार्हते । अर्हानर्हपरिज्ञानाद्दानधर्मो हि दुष्करः

Transliteration

anarhate yaddadāti na dadāti tathārhate | arhānarhaparijñānāddānadharmo hi duṣkaraḥ

Translation

Quand on donne à l’indigne et qu’on ne donne pas au digne—parce qu’il est difficile de discerner le digne de l’indigne—alors, en vérité, le dharma du don devient difficile à accomplir.
