गृहेश्वरीं सद्गुणभूषितां शुभां पंग्वंधयोगेन पतिं समेताम् । न लालयेत्पूरयेन्नैव कामं स किं पुमान्न पुमान्मे मतोस्ति
gṛheśvarīṃ sadguṇabhūṣitāṃ śubhāṃ paṃgvaṃdhayogena patiṃ sametām | na lālayetpūrayennaiva kāmaṃ sa kiṃ pumānna pumānme matosti
Si un homme ne chérit pas la maîtresse de sa maison — de bon augure, parée de vertus — qui a obtenu un mari même par le simple hasard de la rencontre entre le boiteux et l'aveugle, et s'il ne comble pas son désir, alors quel « homme » est-il ? À mon avis, ce n'est pas un homme du tout.
