Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) (deduced for Māheśvara-khaṇḍa narration)
Tirtha: Mahī–Sāgara Saṅgama
Type: sangam
Scene: On the shore where river meets sea, pilgrims bathe, priests guide dāna and japa, a small homa-kunda burns, and families offer piṇḍas with kuśa grass and sesame, facing the waters.
At a sacred confluence, ordinary rites become especially potent; devotion expressed through snāna, dāna, and ancestral offerings is praised.
The Mahī–Sāgara Saṅgama—the confluence where the Mahī River meets the ocean.
Snāna (bathing), dāna (charity), japa, homa, and particularly piṇḍa-dāna for the ancestors.
