दन्ताश्चलाश्चला लक्ष्मीर्यौवनं जीवितं नृप । चलाचलमतीवेदं दानमेवं गृहं नृणाम्
dantāścalāścalā lakṣmīryauvanaṃ jīvitaṃ nṛpa | calācalamatīvedaṃ dānamevaṃ gṛhaṃ nṛṇām
Ô roi, les dents sont chancelantes, la fortune (Lakṣmī) est chancelante, la jeunesse et la vie sont chancelantes. Sachant que tout ici vacille et n’est qu’impermanence, l’homme doit pratiquer le dāna, la charité ; de même, la maison des hommes est elle aussi instable.
