Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 74

विश्वयोनिं जगद्धात्रीं न्यस्तहस्ताग्रपुस्तकाम् । गरुत्मानपि तच्छिष्यो जातो लोकोत्तराकृतिः

viśvayoniṃ jagaddhātrīṃ nyastahastāgrapustakām | garutmānapi tacchiṣyo jāto lokottarākṛtiḥ

Cette Mère du Monde—matrice de l’univers, soutien de la création—tenait un livre au bout de sa main abaissée ; et même Garuḍa devint son disciple, revêtant une forme au-delà du monde commun.
