तत्र श्राद्धं नरः कृत्वा पिंडान्कूपे परिक्षिपेत् । एकविंशकुलोपेतः श्राद्धकृद्रुद्रलोकभाक्
tatra śrāddhaṃ naraḥ kṛtvā piṃḍānkūpe parikṣipet | ekaviṃśakulopetaḥ śrāddhakṛdrudralokabhāk
Là, après avoir accompli le śrāddha, on doit jeter les piṇḍa dans le puits. Celui qui accomplit ce śrāddha, avec vingt et une générations de sa lignée, devient participant du monde de Rudra.

Scene: A householder with darbha grass performs śrāddha beside a well; piṇḍas on leaf plates are respectfully lifted and released into the water; faint ancestral figures receive offerings; Mahālaya-liṅga stands behind, lamps flickering.
Pitṛ-dharma performed at a sanctified Kāśī site uplifts not only the doer but the entire ancestral line.
The Pitṛ-kūpa (ancestor-well) situated before Mahālaya Liṅga in Kāśī.
Perform śrāddha there and place/cast the piṇḍa-offerings into the Pitṛ-kūpa.
